Last updated July 4, 2026. We update this page as Atlas grows; changes that matter are announced in the product.
These terms are the agreement between you and Finlay Consulting Group ("we", "us") for using Atlas VMS ("Atlas") at atlas.finlayconsulting.ca. By creating an account or using Atlas you accept them.
Atlas shows what each vendor relationship earns or costs your business, using information you provide or connect. Atlas reads from connected systems; it never writes to your accounting records.
You need an account, and you are responsible for what happens under it. Organizations have roles (owner, admin, editor, viewer) and the owner decides who joins and what they can do. Keep your invite codes and calendar links private; anyone with an invite code can request to join, and anyone with a calendar link can read the dates in it.
Everything you put into Atlas stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to run Atlas for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you add information about your clients, you confirm you have the right to use it this way. We never contact your clients and never use their details for anything except showing them to you.
Connecting QuickBooks gives Atlas read-only access to vendor spending in your books. Atlas never writes to QuickBooks. Connecting HubSpot gives Atlas read access to company records; Atlas only ever creates a HubSpot record when you explicitly click to publish one. You can disconnect either system whenever you like. Your figures stay in Atlas and become editable by hand. Your use of QuickBooks and HubSpot is also governed by their own terms.
Atlas is a calculator and organizer for information you provide. Its outputs, including profit and loss figures, health verdicts, break-even counts, minimum and recommended prices, AI-written reports, and industry benchmarks, are information, not advice.
Atlas is not an accounting firm, financial advisor, or investment advisor. The numbers are only as good as the data behind them. Check important decisions, especially pricing, hiring, contract, and cancellation decisions, with your accountant or advisor. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for business decisions you make using Atlas outputs.
Vendor reports are written by an AI from the numbers in your organization. They can be imperfect or incomplete. Read a report before you rely on it or share it, and treat it as a starting point, not a conclusion.
Benchmark sharing is optional and off by default. What is shared, what never is, the 20-company minimum, and same-day removal on opt-out are described in the Privacy Policy and in Settings where you turn it on.
Do not use Atlas to store data you have no right to hold, to break the law, to probe or overload the service, or to reverse engineer it. Do not resell access without a written agreement with us.
Atlas is currently in a pilot and does not charge. When paid plans launch, pricing and billing terms will be published on a pricing page and referenced here before anyone is charged.
We work hard to keep Atlas accurate and available, and every release passes an automated math check. Even so, Atlas is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claims related to Atlas is limited to the amount you paid us for Atlas in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you have not paid anything. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost business, even if advised of the possibility.
You can stop using Atlas at any time and ask us to delete your organization. We can suspend or end access for breach of these terms, with notice where practical. On ending, you can export your data (CSV export is built in) and we delete it as described in the Privacy Policy.
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we change these terms in a way that matters, we tell you in the product or by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Atlas after that means you accept the new terms.
